Sonya Snyder has been a movement seeker since a young girl playing soccer and running in track. She started practicing Pilates in 2005 to alleviate back pain and in her journey realized that the principles of Pilates was the modality of movement she had been searching for. The mind-body connection that Pilates encompasses healed her body, cleared her mind, and awoken her spirit.

Sonya began teaching Pilates in 2006 bringing her clients an intrinsic awareness of how their own bodies create and manifest behavior based on their daily activities. She balances humor and laughter with body knowledge in her instruction and infuses classical and adaptive Pilates with personal training to each session creating a dynamic and challenging workout. It excites her when her clients discover their body’s inner strength, control and alignment and begin to appreciate the values of a healthy lifestyle.

Sonya has a broad spectrum of clients with different needs, and continues to be a student of the body and Pilates. She hopes that as a teacher she can empower people to discover their body’s will to heal, nurture and thrive.
