PMA, NASM, TRX Certified Trainer
Sherrese has a background in dance and weight training, and fell in love with Pilates because it offers aspects of both. She danced as a child, through high school, and for two years at Santa Rosa Junior College. Although initially she thought that being a fitness instructor would be a fun side job, it soon became her full-time career. She acquired her Group Fitness certification in 2003, while she was pregnant with her third child. She has worked at several fitness facilities in Sonoma County as a Personal Trainer and Pilates Teacher, as well as in administration. She’s happy to be living her dream of following in her parents’ footsteps by being an entrepreneur.
Sherrese is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified Personal Trainer and is Pilates certified by Monica Anderson (Tone), Integrated Teacher Training (ITT), and the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). She has worked with many Pilates innovators, including: Monica Anderson, Madaline Black, Rael Isacowitz, and Maria Jose Blom, among others. Sherrese is trained in TRX, Kettle Bells, Group Fitness, Strength Training, Pilates for Scoliosis, Osteoporosis, and many other modalities.
Sherrese a recreational runner and committed to her own fitness and wellness practice. She uses classical and functional Pilates in all aspects of her fitness training and teaching. She thrives on learning and sharing new ways to strengthen and heal the body and mind. She feels that regular Pilates training can enhance any sport or movement practice, as well as one’s general quality of life and self-esteem.
