RYT-200, Birth Doula, CD(DONA)
Megan has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. After taking alignment-focused yoga class she felt an “aha moment.” She loved yoga and the effects a steady practice had on her mind, body and life. This style of teaching made sense and felt safe for her body and so many others around her. She believes yoga is for every body … especially pregnant bodies!
Megan became interested in women’s health and childbirth at a young age. After beginning her yoga path in high school she knew someday she wanted to teach prenatal yoga. Megan became a Birth Doula through DONA and has been serving women since 2012. She completed Yoga Teacher Training at Yogakula in Berkeley in 2014 and completed a Prenatal Yoga Training in San Francisco in 2016. After managing a yoga studio and teaching corporate yoga at Salesforce, LinkedIn, Nerdwallet and other Bay Area companies, she and her husband moved back home to Sonoma County in 2016. Megan began teaching prenatal and Mom & Baby yoga after the move. She loves being able to combine her passions for birth and yoga to support women and families.
Looking to find relief from a back injury Megan came to Breathe Diversity Pilates & Fitness to heal. Once again, she felt that inspiration she had felt years before when finding her yoga home. Soon Megan began sharing her excitement about the benefits she was seeing from her Pilates practice. She is currently studying to become a Pilates teacher and looks forward to expanding the ways she can serve her community promoting mind-body connection and healing.
